Q - Is your dining room open right now?
A - Yes! Our dining room is open. During the warmer months, we also have seating in our back garden patio, as well as cafe seating on our front sidewalk.
Q - How do I order?
A - We offer a couple ways to order from us:
- Same Day Ordering: You are welcome to place an order for same-day pickup via our website, or by giving us a call at (708) 613-4403. Same day ordering is available during business hours only. The website will not allow you to place a same day order outside of business hours. We are also open for walk-in orders...stop by the shop to order in-person and say "hi" any time!
- Advance or Pre-Ordering: We welcome advance pre-orders with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Some items on our menu require more notice than that, depending on whether we have the ingredients in stock and what other orders we already have scheduled. - Delivery: We partner with a local delivery service (Delivery First) to offer delivery within about a 4-mile radius of our shop in Oak Park. To schedule a delivery, please give us a call at 708-613-4403. Same-day as well as scheduled delivery in advance is available.
Q - How do I cancel an order?
A - Please contact us via phone or email to change or cancel your order. Here is a link to our full cancellation, refund, & "forgotten order" policy. By placing a pre-order of any kind, you agree to abide by this policy.
Q - Are you really sold out?!
A - If you're trying to place an order through the website and it says "sold out" - then yes, we are sold out 🙂
The website is synced with our in-store inventory, so it is always up-to-date with what items we have in stock at the moment. Please order early for the best selection of items for same-day pickup. Sometimes, we do bake more items throughout the day and we will update our inventory when items are out of the oven and ready for customers to order. For holidays and other special events - Please order early for the best selection. Once we are sold out, we are not able to accommodate additional pre-orders, though we often will make extra items for same-day pickup on holidays as our schedule allows.
Q: Can I place an advance order?
A - We welcome advance orders with a minimum of 48 business hours notice. Some items require more time to prepare, and we do cap our orders when we reach production capacity. Pease order early for the best selection if you know you want something for a certain date!
Q: Will you donate pastries / gift cards to my organization?
A - We are grateful for the opportunity to support local nonprofits and organizations doing important work in the community! Please fill out this form if you'd like to work together.
We evaluate donation requests on a monthly basis, and will reach out to you via email with a response within 4 weeks. Please submit your request as early as possible so that we have sufficient time to review the request and get back to you before your event!
Please Note: We typically allocate our donation budget towards nonprofit organizations, and are not able to donate product or gift cards to for-profit groups or companies at this time. Thank you for your understanding!
Q - I own a cafe/restaurant and would like to carry your pies and pastries. Do you have a wholesale program?
A - At this time, we do not offer our products for wholesale.
Q - Can you ship your products?
A - At this time, Spilt Milk does not offer shipping. If you would like to ship a pie or pastries, we are happy to advise you on what products would travel best, and how we recommend you wrap and package them so they stay fresh and do not get damaged in transit. The UPS store on Lake Street here in Oak Park is an excellent place to go if you need help packaging Spilt Milk products for shipment. They have worked with Spilt Milk customers before to ship delicate food items across the United States, and are happy to help you with this process!
