Origin: Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Grape(s): 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah
Domaine Turner-Pageot is a small producer in the Languedoc region in the south of France situated outside the town of Gabian. It was founded by Emmanuel Pageot (who looks after the vineyards) and Karen Turner who is the winemaker.
Domaine Turner-Pageot’s small plots grow on a mosaic of different soil types on several north-facing aspects at 200 and 300 metres above sea level. The north-facing slopes help to ensure a long and even maturation for the grapes
They farm everything biodynamically, keeping the soils as healthy as they possibly can and using a minimum of sulphur in the vineyards and the winery, while warmer than average fermentations rely on ambient yeasts.
The 48h rose is a deep, ruby color best served slightly chilled. The team at Turner Pageot designed this wine halfway between a structured rosé, and a light red. This is a wine to drink in all seasons in perfect harmony with the cuisines of the Mediterranean region.
