Flat Brim Wines "Not Sorry" Pinot Gris
Origin: Columbia Gorge, Oregon
Grape(s): 100% Pinot Gris
About The Wine / Winemaking Process:
“The 2021 vintage welcomes a new wine from a single site in the Columbia Gorge. This is our first single varietal Pinot gris and I believe the volcanic loam soils and 1200ft elevation of the Kramer Ranch block of South Hill Vineyards create an ideal expression of the grape. The Pinot Gris from this site is more elegant than other vineyards I have tried and imparts some unique baking spice notes. I am excited to be able to continue working with these grapes for the foreseeable future.
The grapes were direct pressed into neutral french oak barrels to ferment with native yeasts. We let the wine sit for four months and go through malolactic conversion before racking to bottle.
This Pinot Gris has remarkable color and clarity with a mouth watering bouquet of peach pit, lime peel and wet cement. Tastes of lemon meringue pie, passion fruit iced tea and a subtle creaminess. Not Sorry is a wine we are confident will shine on any table. Pair with spicy noodles and papaya salad or roasted chicken. If you are in need of a wine to bring to a friend’s house the Not Sorry will be a crowd pleaser.”
